The Turboprop That Flies Farther and Faster Than a Vision Jet

Good morning! We are in the full swing of fire season, especially in the western half of the country and many thousands of firefighters, ground crews and aviators put their lives on the line each year to keep our homes safe. As of today, there are over 900,000 acres burning in the United States, with 62 large active wildfires being managed nationwide.

Over the weekend, I saw firsthand the Horse Gulch fire that’s still 0% contained and has taken one pilot’s life in Montana. Flying is already a dangerous business, but when you mix in low visibility, flying over mountains and water bombing, it becomes a whole new ball game ✈

THE BUSINESS OF AVIATION

In One Word… Epic

The Epic E1000 GX — a plane where luxury, performance and beauty come together. This sleek machine is your ticket to get you and up to five friends anywhere within a 1,500-mile radius, quickly, comfortably and with a dash of style.

Epic Aircraft, originally known for its kit-built models, stepped up its game after 2010 and developed the certified E1000, leading to the latest version, the E1000 GX. This beauty boasts a nine-foot, five-bladed Hartzell propeller and a Garmin GFTCM automated flight control system, combining cutting-edge technology with a sleek design that looks fast even when it's parked. The spacious cabin ensures that even the tallest passengers can stretch out in comfort, with every seat featuring dimmable electrochromic windows and USB power ports. The cockpit, designed for maximum efficiency, feels more like a luxury sports car than an aircraft, making this plane not just a mode of transportation, but a statement of style and performance.

Flying the E1000 GX is like piloting your average turboprop, but with the heart of a jet. The powerful Pratt & Whitney engine delivers impressive speed and performance, allowing you to soar above the weather at 34,000 feet. The design is not just about looks; it’s about outperforming other single-engine turboprops and even some jets (cough… Cirrus). With features like an intuitive flight control system, easy maintenance and advanced safety measures, the E1000 GX ensures a smooth and safe flight. Whether you’re navigating through icy conditions or executing a smooth landing, this aircraft is built to impress and perform, making it a top choice for anyone seeking a blend of luxury, utility and high performance.

AROUND THE SKIES

The firefighting community is mourning the loss of wildland firefighting pilot Juliana Turchetti, who tragically died in a plane crash at lower Hauser Lake while fighting the Horse Gulch Fire near Helena, MT. Turchetti, a 45-year-old mother from Brazil, was working on a visa for Dauntless Air, an Idaho-based firefighting company. She leaves behind a 17-year-old son and numerous family members in Brazil.
